The first Halfway to St. Patrick's Day 5K and Wee Mile hosted by the Central Connecticut Celtic Cultural Committee (CCCCC) will take place at 9:30 AM on Sunday 9/29/13 at the Irish American Home Society on Commerce Street in Glastonbury, CT. This event will benefit the 43rd Greater Hartford St. Patrick’s Day Parade. The CCCCC is comprised of several towns who work together to organize the yearly parade to celebrate Irish and Irish American Heritage.
The 5K run/walk will begin and end at the Irish American Home in Glastonbury, CT at 10 AM
The Wee Mile is a 1/4 mile race open to 2-8 year olds starting at 9:30 AM. All participants will receive a finishing medal.
Awards for the 5K run will be presented to the top 3 male and female finishers in each division.
Registration fee adults: $25 before 9/27/13; $30 after 9/27/13
Youth (6-17 yrs) rate: $15 before 9/27/13; $18 after 9/27/13
Wee Mile (2-8 yrs) rate: $10

You may also register on the day of the race beginning at 8:30am.This event is open to runners and walkers of all abilities.
Students of area Irish Dance Schools can run as a team representing their dancing school. All the runners on the team with the overall fastest runners will win a gift card to Sweet Frog! When you register, sign up for your dance school's team on the second page of the registration process.
Race numbers can be picked up at the Irish American Home, 132 Commerce St. on Friday 9/27 between 5pm - 8pm or the morning of the race between 8am - 9:30am. Registration will also be open during these hours for last minute entries. Friday nights are Pub Grub nights with live music beginning at 7pm. . Pick up your packet, stay for dinner and listen to the tunes of The Marksmen.

Music and food, including burgers and dogs, are complimentary for all race participants. Food is also available for purchase for non-participants.
Timing will be by The Last Mile. Results will be posted after the race.
